While I didn't have to deal with it more than learning to download something, the paradigm is something worth knowing as MCAS moves more code into the AzDO monolith. In dealing with the DAQmx Python API last Tech Week, I found that NI had published the API online via GitHub.✅ Introduction to GitHub (by no means "master").I opted to spend the last bits of time I have cleaning up code and documenting rather than adding one more feature.❌ Toast in the menu bar for easy access.But, the data storage is local to the device, so there is no sharing between my phone and my desktop. Yes and no: It is on GitHub, so I can use it.While I would love some slick controls & animations, that is a selling point, not a usability feature.I was able to spend a bit of time doing some layout and the w3.css from w3schools helped with the overall look & feel. ✅/⚠️ Some nice formatting with (or without) CSS.This is a feature I still want, but didn't have time really begin looking into it.❌ Ability to edit time entries (such as changing time on an entry).These are things I would make this project more awesome, but are not necessary ✅ Have this data saved in such a way as I can close the app and access it again upon re-opening.

✅ Save my time entries such that I can get a weekly report upon request.

✅ Select which project I am currently working on and store the time.

✅ Be able to set up (and store) projects I could charge time against.

Let's use this as an opportunity to learn to make a basic web app (a "Hello World.

❓ Did you know that NI has projects under way that use JavaScript with frameworks like Electron to create a desktop apps for customers? I found this out only recently and it made me re-think what NI does from a coding standpoint.

I've tried it but it doesn't overly wow me.
